Kindle Customer –
We had a toaster oven, which I loved. Then it died. So we got an air fryer, because hubby was desperate to try one. Air fryers are great for cooking juicy meat. They are not a substitute for a toaster oven. So there I was, with a hubby who loves toast and no efficient way to make it. I resorted to using my regular oven. What a stressful mess. I’d keep forgetting to check it, and almost started many fires. Finally got fed up and decided to go for this toaster, because it’s a lot cheaper than replacing my toaster oven. FANTASTIC. I especially like the following features:* 2 slots, not four. This is great for just 2 people, and it takes up less space.* Plastic covering instead of stainless steel. No fingerprints. Thank you. (Who on earth thought stainless steel was appropriate for kitchen appliances??)* A rippled plastic covering which means it doesn’t show every greasy print. Thank you again. It’s nice to make toast without the thing looking grimy every time.* A crumb tray that is half the width of the toaster. It just runs down the centre of the bottom. I remember when they were much larger. This design is nicer and easier to transfer the crumbs into the bin.* A cancel button. Saves you from panicking and abusing the main lever. Very handy. The cancel button lights up once you start toasting, so you can find it quickly.* A simple knob you can turn to choose your temperature. It’s nice when not everything we use is computerised with a glowing display.* After popping, you can push the lever up another inch or so to lift the toast further out of the slots. Helps you not burn your fingers, plus it eliminates the temptation to stick a utensil down the slot and electrocute yourself. Very clever. I’ve never seen that feature before.* The toaster won’t turn on (meaning the lever won’t latch in place when you press it down) if you haven’t flipped your breaker switch. SO helpful. In the US we don’t have breakers at each outlet, so I’ve forgotten countless times to flip the switch before turning things on here in the UK. As British hubby reminds me, the voltage here is a lot higher than in the US so the breakers are needed. That’s all fine and well, but it’s very aggravating not to realise the oven isn’t actually on and that your food is just sitting there not cooking. The fact that this toaster won’t latch unless you’ve got the power on eliminates that aggravation entirely. An excellent feature for the UK.* You need to pull the thing out from under cupboards before using it so you’re not roasting your cupboards. The cord length is perfect for this. Not too long, not too short. Just gets the job done (provided you are storing your toaster very close to an outlet. If you can’t do that, you might find the cord/lead a bit too short.)Remember that you can only put basic items in this (frozen or fresh): bagels, toastie, etc. No butter, frosting, or other additions which could melt off or stick to the grill. But that’s the way it works with every toaster. For the price, this was an excellent piece of kit. I can’t imagine what I’d gain by paying for a more expensive model. This has everything I need with some nice extras. It is so much faster than toasting in the big oven, and there’s no concern about setting off the smoke alarm. 🙂

Looks good on work top takes less space than old oneEasy to keep clean and fits crumpets in no probsJust wish the dials for turning up and down was more obviousYou can hardly see the numbers or the little dot on knobBut that goes for all toasters not just this one
Williescotland –
This is a lovely looking toaster and does what it says, if I had one thing to mark it down on it’s the ability to just toast one slice as always comes out one side perfect and other side well done.

Nice looking, lightweight but strong enough. Controls actually work so you can get toast as you like it. Not always the case !!
