How did we start?
Starting out as a spring manufacturer, the Salter brand has adapted and moved with the ever-changing landscape to make life just that little bit easier for our customers.
We love what we do:
Salter has been built on family values and after 260 years of bringing people together, we’re proud of the role we’ve played in the lives of our customers.
Fun fact:
As the business thrived, Salter formed a football team, the ‘West Bromwich Strollers’, and went on to lift the FA Cup in 1888. The team is still in existence to this day and is now known around the world as West Bromwich Albion Football Club.

Bought this little air fryer on a sale, for one person. I follow a carnivore diet and is simply perfect for all I need: steaks, eggs, bacon, meatballs, liver, etc. I don’t use any foils, nor oils, as its so easy to clean it literally takes only one minute after every use. No mess, no grease, no smoke in the kitchen. Not noisy, just airflow heard on the background. It takes little space and I placed it on a wooden surface to protect the countertop from cracking. Best when preheated 10 minutes instead of 5. The steaks are perfect every time juicy and delicious medium rare 10 minutes on 200C degrees. If no time and need to prep in advance and freeze, the meat will still be tender and flavourful. Fantastic little gadget! Nothing negative about it, just perfect!

Living on my own now and the wrong side of 60, I was very sceptical of these new fangled air fryer things. I wish I had bought this ages ago. I now enjoy browned, crisp juicy chicken once more.Bought this 2L one (EK2817) because it was small; with a footprint of about 8 inches x 8 inches and 10 inches tall. It has a round pull-out non-stick pan which is 6.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches deep. It is surprising what you can fit in there; a couple of chicken thighs alongside a couple of sausages with some chips. It is rated at 1000 watts so just over 4amps: so it should use about 1KwH (a unit) in one hour; normal cooking time is about 15 minutes, so four meals should cost roughly one unit [for comparison: watching some TVs for six hours can also consume one unit]When it arrives, follow the set up card – wipe it off, plug it in and turn it up and on for a few minutes to shed that new appliance smell. The main instruction book is online but can be downloaded. Basically turn the thing up to temperature and turn the timer to three minutes. One led tells you it is switched on, the other goes out when it is up to the set temperature. When it is at temperature throw your food in, frozen food is no issue, set the timer for about half the cooking time. The led will go on and off as it maintains the temperature. When timer sounds its very loud ‘bing’ have a look, shake it, turn it over etc or add the stuff that needs to cook for a lesser time. It cooks anything; battered, breaded, vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, bread – just chuck it in. If you are going to add oil, very little is needed – one of those single spray things is idealTimer can be turned up but not down. Temperature you can adjust at any time. Unit switches off when timer stops or the pan is pulled out. Pan has a perforated removable shelf; oil and surplus juices drains through this into the bottom of the pan; you cannot tip your cooked food out without risking the oil following it onto your plate. A pair of tongs is really helpful. Case becomes warm to touch and warm/hot air comes out underneath so, if you want to warm your plates, leave them beside the base!Cleaning is simple; a little detergent and some boiling water and leave it to soak. When the water is cool enough, pull out the shelf if you have used it and sponge/rinse/dry. Then rinse the pan itself out and you’re done. Non-stick coating is really good. Unit has a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty. If you feel you need to line it, a 5.3 inch silicon liner fits well although any liner will stop any juices draining away, is awkward to get out when the pan is hot and is cleaned the same way as the pan. Anything you can put in an oven you can put in this; foil, parchment, cook-in bags etc.Very, very impressed

Easy to use. Saved having to put the oven on for well over half of its normal usages. Its low power means we are saving real money

Only 2 of us here, and this is great. Wedges in it are my favourite. Lost a rubber peg off the rack. Amazon couldn’t help, but Salter solved the issue and sent replacement rack free of charge.

Aicha –
Very happy with my purchase, it’s tiny but perfect for one person. It quicker and more economic than reheating small things in the oven.

Saves putting the oven on for many things, but sweet potato fries taste wayyyy better and not thon soggy way when they’re done in the oven.Just remember to buy the spray oil and spray before and on top of whatever you’re cooking x

Truly happy about this product. It has done wonders to my cooking experience. I spend way less time over the stove cooking. I haven’t used my oven once since I purchased the airfryer plus less cooking with oil which has helped with my health and diet. Also easy to clean and can hold quite a lot of food for 1 person. Great buy. Not loud. Do not hesitate.

Looks good, compact but adequate basket size for one person. Very simple to operate, great results so far and hoping to expand the meals I can prepare. Easy to clean.
