If you want a temperature-control kettle on a budget, this is the one to get. I use it to make pour-over/French press coffee, and this comes in 5-degree increments so you can get it just right. It’s sturdy and simple to use, and its brushed-aluminium finish fits in well with my (much more expensive) Sage appliances. The Amazon basics branding is subtle and easy to hide by rotating the base. Others have commented that it can be hard to see the fill line, but I just guesstimate now and it’s always fine. One unexpected bonus of seeing the temperature: once the water has cooled down, I use it to top up my ice tray and make perfectly clear cubes of cold.

If you’re a fan of herbal teas, perhaps taste the metallic taste in black tea or your using a French press or indeed instant coffee you need this kettle. Also if you’re a chef at heart and want to make something that the recipe requires a specific temperature of water (like bread making)… this is for you. It’s easy to set the temperature- it boils quickly and relatively quietly and actually it’s my favourite ever kettle. I’ve bought them all during various fads. Everyone in my household says the same. It’s life changing to be able to set the kettle temperature for white teas or green teas to 70 degrees Celsius and for example freeze dried and fresh coffee to 95 degrees. Brilliant item -?quite a sleek design as in the photo – neat and bijoux I love it. Bargain too!

The added feature of being able to set a temperature means that you can save money when you switch on and then forget about it. The lid opening mechansm is simple; so that it is less likely to jam or break as my previous one did. I like the clean lines of the overall shape. A nice product I hope it lasts.

A really great kettle if you want temp control but don’t need a kettle that’s extortionate in price or got too many bells and whistles. Some complained about the lack of a click, but users can tell when the kettle is done because it displays the temp on the top of the handle, which I think it cool. Sometimes, for some reason, the kettle will give up about 5 degrees short of the temp that you asked it for. If this happens, just setting again to the desired temp will achieve the desired effect (because it tracks the temp, it doesn’t waste loads of energy trying to boil “from zero”). My biggest complaint is that the button to open the kettle is on top of the lid. To me, that’s just asking for the mechanism to break. No faults so far!

This is a good buy I’ve been after a temperature controlled kettle for a while but the price and shape was an issue. For the price and style it’s a great buy. As for heating or boiling the water to the temp that you require and the keep warm function are both great and functional👍🏾

What a good kettle for the money, I was concerned about the catch on the lid but after over two months still no problems with it.I would certainly recommend it
