I was looking for a blender that I could use to blend nuts and frozen fruits for my breakfast smoothies but didn’t want to spend a fortune. This Breville Blend Active Personal Blender & Smoothie Maker is absolutely perfect for it. It’s quite a simple blender compared to some of the more expensive models, but it does the job great.The build quality is good for the price, and the lead is a decent length. I ordered the Blue colour and it looks great in my kitchen. My sister has the Pink one, and that looks nice too. They have a very minimalist and elegant design, which complements any kitchen decor.The blender comes with 2 large 600ml blending bottles with leak-proof lids and even recipe ideas if you’re new to making smoothies. The blending bottles have a generous capacity, enough for a couple of small smoothies or a larger one. They click into the blender base unit really easily and feel secure during use. The lids haven’t leaked on me yet but don’t feel particularly sturdy. As long as you keep them upright when on the move, you shouldn’t run into any issues.The blender itself is incredibly simple and easy to operate. The bottle screws into a blade attachment which you then insert into the base unit. It has a one-touch blending button which you press and hold until your smoothie is blended to the desired consistency. This gives you total control over the blender, which is ideal for when a drink or recipe requires a different consistency. Once you’ve finished blending, you unscrew the blade attachment from the bottle and replace it with a lid. That’s it! You’re all good to go. The process takes seconds from start to finish.I was curious to see how well it blends ice, and it does a fantastic job. The motor has more than enough power to blend even larger cubes of ice with ease. Although the manual advises against hot liquids, I did try blending a soup and it worked fine, but I wouldn’t recommend doing it often.It is quite loud, but most blenders are, and it doesn’t really bother me. As long as it does the job well, I can put up with a little loudness. The blender is very easy to clean. The blending occurs in the top of the bottle, so nothing gathers in the base unlike most blenders. The detachable blade and blending bottles make the process simple and quick to wash by hand or in a dishwasher as they are also dishwasher-safe.At its current price, it’s exceptional value for money for a blender, especially for one from such a well-trusted brand. I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend this item to anyone looking for a cheap and reliable blender for smoothies and drinks.Thank you for taking the time to read my review. This is great for my protein shakes , I bought a purpose made protein shake blender which is fine but could not handle 3 scoops if I want it too , this has no problem with that , it is robust and sturdy , the bottles that come with it are fine but the lids are a bit flimsy but ok if you keep them upright, easy to clean , I’d say this is well worth the money

This machine is amazing I blend everyday and honestly can’t live without my smoothies and protein shakes It’s strong so doesn’t break with the ice.Absolutely love itOnly downside is it has a curved lip.which shuts the lid down with a click but its weak and during washing iys hard not to break it. Both of mine are now broken so can’t actually travel with mine as I can close the lid but not click it shut.Fortunately mine is for home use only so that doesn’t bother me but I wouldn’t be able to transport to work as a snack or to the gym because if thus. So a better design for the lid would be helpful.Other than that I think it’s a brilliant machine for the price.

I love this blender and use it everyday to make smoothies. Its quick and no mess or washing up, just blend, swap the lid and go! Although the drinking lid is a bit flimsy, I wouldn’t trust it not spil if not held upright.

The media could not be loaded. I love how quickly it makes a smoothie, it took 15 seconds to blend a smoothie made with frozen raspberries, banana and some oat milk (see the video). Each smoothie has a really nice consistency without lumps and it’s easy to drink. My daughter loves these smoothies.I also often use it to make green smoothies with spinach, banana, cucumber and apple juice.I love this breville smoothie maker and blender for its price and how portable it is. Great value for money.Easy to use, clean and good on the go, too.I use it every day to make smoothies for my family.I love the portable lid attachment and having two bottles is handy, too.An essential piece of equipment in my kitchen now, I use it a lot more now than I use my very expensive Vitamix!

I absolutely love this blender. It’s slick, light weight and works like a charm.I went for the black, it came with one bottle and a lid with blades then a lid for drinking. It has a nice capacity (enough for a large smoothie) and blends nice and smoothly. I make a daily smoothie with frozen fruit and it blends that up no problem.It is loud but that’s no problem for me as all blenders will be loud. It sits nicely on a pull out shelf in my cupboard, it’s easily cleaned as it’s just the lid and the bottle that get dirty, and I use it as part of my daily routine.The price was great for such a good quality and robust little machine. It has a decent length of lead to the plug which is great as it means it doesn’t need to be sitting exactly at the plug.You operate it by pressing one button and hold that down until your ingredients are as smooth as you want them to be. I love this straightforward and easy to use approach. You have full control over how blended you want things. The bottle also clicks into the base really easily and stays secure throughout use.I would recommend this item to anyone and would definitely buy it again.

I have been using this blender since it came onto the market and we love it in this home. Smoothies are amazing and so convenient for work,quick to make and nutritious. The only reason I have had 3 is my 1st wore out then the 2nd one had to change to black with the kitchen! Great product.

I dont eat fruit very often , too much chewing lol . So I put 2 bannanas 1 apple and 1 orange and just topped up with iced water , it was nutritionally delicious , I look forward toomany more fruity concotions .

This works very well. I used it to blend up my slimfast shakes and frozen fruit and it does the trick. Comes with the bottle lid as well!
