Island Life Diva –
This was a good buy. I use this slow cooker regularly now and have made a variety of dishes in it. It has a simple dial to use and can be set up overnight or early on in the day. Any red meat becomes tender. It can get very hot inside so needs to be kept on a stable surface. It is easy to clean but might need a soak if a lot of herbs/spices used. The bowl is really robust but the lid less so. I am still experimenting with what I can prepare but it is certainly not gathering dust!

All slow cookers seem to cook at different temperatures, and the first time I used the Crockpot I thought I was going to have to return it because I didn’t think it came up to temperature. I was cooking chicken breast in a little liquid, and although the chicken was very tender and tasty, I didn’t think the liquid had come to temperature. Having read other reviews which said the same thing, I thought I had got a faulty crockpot. However, I loved the size and shape, it seemed just perfect, so I decided to give it another go. Glad I did – I now use it almost every day. I work from home so I tend to prepare our evening meal late in the morning. I pre-heat on high for a good 15 minutes and cook on high for 4 – 5 hours. If I was away from home I would be happy leaving it on low or 8 hours or so, although I would do the first half hour or so on high if I had time. Also, so far I have always only put food that is already simmering into the pot. I’ve had several slow cookers over the years, and this is my favourite!

Bought this to replace my old slow cooker and am not disappointed. The crock pot must be one of the most useful items ever, enabling economical & nourishing savoury or sweet meals made in advance. Really useful when at work all day coming home to a hot meal ready cooked and ready to dish up with very little prep beforehand. If you have never had one of these inexpensive cookers then why not? Love this little crock pot!

As massive fans and Avid users of a slow cooker over many winters, having one in the house is truly a no brainer.Now finding ourselves in the position of all 3 of our children moved out, our trusty old 6 litre behemoth of a Crockpot was a little excessive to use for 2. This is as simple to use and perfectly sized for 2 people with at least a cheeky little portion left over for the next day.Everything you would expect in terms of being compact and dish washable etc. However that said we do hand wash our as we have found over the years it truly can extend the life of it. So far so good and pleased with the purchase.

Invaluable cooking tool if you are going to get home late.So much can be done in it, savoury or sweet.Low on power. Ceramic dish so no flavour contamination.Stews, Chilli’s, Pasta, Biryani.Lots of good suggestions on the internet to try.
