    My Acer Aspire died on me after 7 years of daily service and I needed to source a replacement quickly without breaking the bank. The Dell arrived ahead of the expected delivery date, I’ve upped the onboard RAM to 16Gb and found a cheap (£4!) wifi card on eBay, so I’m good to go now. Even if I only get two years’ service out of it, it’s a bargain. Very happy with the purchase.

    When the laptop I use for amateur radio failed, I needed a replacement quickly but couldn’t afford a new one for limited specialist use. This refurbished piece looked and felt new, and so far has worked perfectly in the job that I bought it for. I don’t know how long the battery will last, because I don’t use it that way. In all other respects, apart from a smaller hard drive, it performs as well as my everyday laptop. This was, for me, a great buy.
