I chose this as there is no monthly payment.Night vision is good. There are tres lights on when on night vision. The image is good quality in black and white.During the day the colours are really natural. It allows me to hear and talk back.No issues at all setting it up.It sends alerts to my phone when it detects movement.

We have been using this now for about a month. So here is our thoughts on this product.setup: Setup is pretty easy took about 30 minutes. Maybe the odd question was worded a bit weird, even rebooted for a firmware update — but top marks on this. installing the cameras is super simple, except they dont have an angled or ceiling mount for some reason. Again didnt bother us but you might need to jerryrig a solution there.Cameras: in the pack is 2 cameras. The charge is supposed to last i believe 6 months. that i think is pretty wishful thinking on the part of Eufy. we fully charged the cameras (as requested in the installation) and it has dropped 1 pip on the battery bar in one month. Keep in mind our cameras are in the most heavily trafficked areas (front and back door) so they are pretty much pinging all day. i would guess charge every 3 months ( i will post here on first mandated recharge). only other possible concern might be the distance the camera could be from the base station. if you had a house with a lot of thick walls and long distances you might have an issue with camera connecting, but thats me guessing.Motion Detection: we have set the person setting on, ie only record when a person was moving. Well maybe where we live cats look like people because we have one cat in particular, religiously setting this off at 4am every night. Could i reduce a star for that, well yeah, but does anyone seriously believe all that, i certainly didnt. i am sure it does work, just not in the way i thought. it can pick up faces which is very interesting, that does work surprisingly well. It is also good on identifying motion, that particular cat is on the extreme side of the motion area and it always catches the movement. One other small quirk i noticed, in night vision mode it doesnt sense a motion activated light that goes on and technically should switch off the night vision, not a big issue but perhaps an update will fix small issues like this.Performance (movement to phone alert): this is where i have to say the system is pretty impressive. it takes around 5-6ish seconds to receive a notification. we have a pretty bog standard driveway ( 2 cars almost fit) and from the time i am in the catchment area of the camera to hitting the front step — i receive a notification. we did try the press to talk function. it works fairly well, voice is a bit tinny sounding but it definitely workable if you were reluctant to open your door and the camera microphone is very good. in this live interaction camera session its about half a second delay for us- definitely usable. They also have geo fencing which is pretty cool when we both leave it activates.Reliability: this was replacing an older onvir based system of ip cameras which was buggy on its best day. the Eufy system has been flawless in this regard, 100% reliable. we even had a extremely rare power cut, the base unit just reconnected to everything automatically. Also because it stores the files locally there is none of the hidden monthly cloud charges involved . also if there was activity you need to record you can pull that to your phone.Overall: have to say, we are super impressed. their app works and looks good also btw, the interface to apple phones is also pretty easy (you can use apple own home setup to take camera feeds). The mark i try to use on products like this is ‘would i buy it again?’ the answer to this is a resounding yes, hence the 5 stars. Sure its got the odd white lie in the marketing (dont they all?) but i am willing to ignore that for the many many other benefits. So if you were on the fence on this, i would say if you were to jump to this, you are very unlikely to regret it.Jan 4th EDIT2nd attempt, last edit bombed out and it was worded way way better than this edit ;)So happy New Year all. Firstly the cameras are still on one pip on the battery icon. That is pretty darn impressive to me. I will let them run out or at least red line before charging and if there is any further info i will add here. It is worth noting that the front and rear cameras are both on one pip even though the front would be used more. There is some educated guesses you could make here on how the backend system works but it would be speculation. I suspect the batteries will age in a bit as they cycle through their lifespan but at the moment — way way better than i expected originally.Motion detection: this is still tripped by the cat (system configured to people recognition). she had changed her schedule a bit so there is that.Notification time: one thing i thought i should add. i mentioned about it took the length of an average driveway before my phone pinged. I had a think about this and my phone is going through a whole series of ‘things’ as i walk towards the door, not least of which is trying to connect to wifi. Im sure that is delaying the notifications by a small amount.Final Thoughts: you know whats best about this? it just works. its now just part of our house, like a tv or fridge or your mobile device. it just works. i have not had to login to reboot, tweak, update, modify, or worst of all (and we have all done this) had to explain to family members how whats happening is a feature not a bug (onvir wifi cameras im looking at you). This system just works and honestly much and all as i love fidgeting with IT stuff, there is something really refreshing about software and hardware like this that just does what it says on the tin. Could it be better, yes but its the ole 80/20 rule now for Eufy i suspect where they have all of the basics done right now comes all the bells and whistles and trinkets…nice to have but not critical. So we would still buy this again. Very impressed with it resilience (no reboots, no resets etc). Its what we wanted here, something that is ‘set and forget’. Pretty sure we all want that or if not all, then the vast majority of people want. of you are a bit of a security camera expert and love doing the latest mods, then this is probably not for you. of you want something that just works; well all we can say is (as per the first review of this), would we rebuy?– yep we definitely would.

I love these cameras. I set the whole thing up myself with ease and I even drilled the holes and mounted them too with no problem. And I don’t do DIY as a rule. The instructions are easy to follow. Only need to drill two holes for each camera and they work at the front and the back of the house with no issues with connection to the WiFi. The quality is brilliant and I found no delay at all in detecting motion and the app is faultless. The night vision is excellent as well. It makes me feel safer and I know who knocks on my door when I’m out now. Even the window cleaner gets spotted now. You can speak through them if you wish and switch the spotlight on all from the app. Great buy and great product. No subscription and battery seem fine even though I’ve been using it more to set up initially and try out. You don’t need a subscription, clips are stored for 30 days but you can share the clips and save them to your phone or tablet via the app if you want to keep them. Would recommend.

Very easy to set this up and good instructions. Everything all done via the app and you can adjust all your notifications and distance etc all on that. All videos and events are stored in the event section so you can go back and check who was there and what happened. My personal pros:Easy set up, this for me was an absolute must after returning another brand a few days ago that was nothing but hassle.Wireless cameras, the only thing that needs to be plugged is the base station which is connected to your home router with the cable provided.Good, clear instructions.Everything is all done via the app.Very good app.You can speak via the camera too to anyone outside. No monthly fees.Only one con:Possibly not the best for picking up a car reg plate driving past the house in the dark for example. But if you’re using this as I am for a simple security measure to see what’s going on outside the home then the video footage is fine and clear and if anyone was snooping around or caused damage to your car on the drive then the footage would catch the person clearly.Overall I can’t recommend this enough. It reminds me of the ring door bell of the simplicity and the app controlling.

After reading all the reviews I thought I would try this system out as looked easy to fit and works with Alexa show and fire tv.First impressions nice looking well made and packed.Set up nice and easy and tried a few areas to mount cameras which connection full bars but bit of a lag of 2 to 3 seconds which could be better to be honest as I have fast internet and also clear view of from and back cameras to the main hub.Picture quality is ok not as good as my reolink but notification to phone is really fast I am impressed with the function and the face capture it does. Good sound both ways but again bit of lag. So it’s not the best camera system I have tried and that’s been a lot but for £199 offer is not a bad price.Bad bits. Connection to echo show easy but getting it to show cameras is a lucky dip as either works or not even though 1 is right next to hub which I have left connected with lan so I’m hoping this will be a software update.I like to leave a screen on to watch front or back garden if I’m working or watching TV but not possible with this system it just turns off after a minut. Also there is no talk button on the show so not sure why this is as was sure I had seen it on a video.Bought it for the human activations as trees and cats and other movements set the phone off constantly but didn’t realise this function was just for day mode so you have to clip all areas that sets it off on a night time.Verdict it’s ok not as good as was hoping as little grainy and seems to change and get pixslated on bigger screen. May return it as not totally happy and definitely had better systems but for the price it be good for most people.Update after setting up and going more deeply in to the settings after 3 days I’ve added full stars. Very impressed now it’s how I use it could just do with Human detection at night not just day time but hopefully that will come.
Mr. A. Motton –
After moving onto a new build estate we decided to invest in some home security. I looked at the competition and watched some online reviews of all the main camera companies. Ring,Blink,Google Nest, Hive,Arlo. I then discovered one other name kept cropping up and beating the others on not just price but also video quality, has an inbuilt spotlight and the ability to store your footage locally and not pay a monthly subscription. The Eufy cameras are great quality, work flawlessly and being owned by Anker who make lots of wireless products, never drops it’s WiFi signal (unlike both my neighbours who own overpriced Ring products!)I’ve had my 2 camera system for 2 months now and after tweaking the sensitivity it’s worked better than expected. All the reviews I watched favoured the Eufy cameras over other products. The battery life (I purchased the 180 day battery life version, you can buy a 360 day version) is better than expected. Charging is simple. It’s just a USB connection and the camera can be recharged within a couple of hours. Currently (after 2 months of use) the front door camera is on 72% and the back garden one is on 86%. The reason for the disparity is it’s a new bit of kit and I like to keep checking what’s going on in the street it’s the new version of curtain twitching, ha! It took a few goes to get the detection area and sensitivity where I wanted it so passing cars didn’t set it off but that is the same with all systems. The App to control everything off is well made and easy to navigate, all settings are easily found. I’m that impressed with it all I’ve just purchased a 3rd add on camera for the side of the house so we’re now fully covered. Price comparison is a no brainer, Ring sell a single camera with built in lights for £179. My 2 camera package was £169….and I don’t have to pay a subscription to keep my footage, it’s all securely saved on the base station. They also do a video doorbell which looks so much better than the Ring version. As you can probably tell, I’m impressed with the Eufy system. I’ve just watched my neighbour take his camera down for the 2nd time in the last month to charge it….saw it on my camera….

Great value for money! Easy to install and set up on to phone. Easy to use. Clear pictures. I would recommend.
Jordan –
Purchased when I bought my first house as a starting point for additional security. They are still going strong 4 years on with no issues at all and the service I receive from Eufy has been excellent. The product and service have been so good I have expanded the setup over the last 4 years and now have 6 cameras, doorbell and a floodlight camera. As a starting point, this is brilliant value and functionality, not to mention… No Monthly Fees!!
