I wanted a sub £100 laptop and got one. If I paid £200 for this I would have given it 2 stars, but I am amazed at how they managed to put together a laptop that can sell for £100 and still function adequately. It is sluggish at times, struggled to install all of the Windows 10 updates, and it feels quite flimsy and cheap, But it works fine, and the battery lasts for several hours of active use.I bought this for occasional use for my amateur radio hobby to make digital contacts and for logging. I put it through its paces and it did the job. I plan to operate away from home, and this allows me to do this as it has great battery life, as well as being able to charge via USB-C, so my portable power station will be able to give it more life if I am out for a long time. The touch-pad is a bit annoying and sometimes does not do what you want it to do, but I am sure this is something I can get used to. I am able to type accurately at my normal speed so the keyboard is fine.As I said, it is flimsy, so if you are picking it up from the edge with the lid open, you will notice that the plastic barely manages to carry the weight of the whole unit, so if you move it, it is probably best to close the lid first. If you are like me and have spent lots of money on laptops before, so was not expecting much when you are not spending lots of money, this will not disappoint for value for money, so although it is not great, it cost me less than £100, so for that it is almost disposable, and it also does the job!

A great little notebook. Feels good. Keyboard is fine but not a good as a £1000 laptop but just fine. Touchpad is good. This is Very thin and Very light. Battery advises between 2.5 – 5 hours when fully charged so its fine and in line with most laptops. It has Windows 10 Pro Education pre installed.I had a windows update issue as you can get with any windows installation. It would not complete the update. I just downloaded the windows installation file from Microsoft, run it which re installed windows (no licences needed it just replaces the install) and bingo all works brilliant. I bought it for my mum who loves it. It is intended for browsing mainly but to be honest its quite a fast little machine, responsive etc.. Its not a gaming machine though. Verdict fantastic and for £96 ! Insane value 🙂 Yes I would buy another.

I Love this laptop, It was recomended by my IT tutor. She said she wouldnt recomend paying more than £300. She then said her friend had gotten one of these and when she seen it and had a play with it she couldnt believe how good it was. I have a laptop but its a few years old and somedays its as slow as anything and i want to just put it through the window. I came home from class had a look on amazon and went for it. it said it would be 3/4 days to deliver. so i ordered it. it came in less than 16 hrs, it was well packaged so easy to set up im boweled over with it. I have a remote mouse that I use as I still cant get use to touchpad. For the money its Perfect. Especially if your new to computing.

I wanted a spare laptop for writing, so this is perfect given how much it cost. the OS works fine, I spent ten mins stripping out bits I didn’t need to make sure there was as much space as possible then it was ready to go. Battery lasts a long time, keyboard is has a bit of a plastic clattery feel which is faintly annoying but no big deal. no need for expert setup so long as you’re willing to have a rummage through menus, my tech level isn’t high at all.

Am not techno whizz but it took me about an hour to set it up and connect my phone and transfer all my apps to the computer can’t believe the price 😳

I bought 3 and I was a bit worried with some of the reviews and when I got them I had them on charge and they wouldn’t come on but I left on charge and all 3 laptops are beautiful, look brand new and work perfectly they’re great for school work and gaming which is what the kids need them fir I will 100%recommend to anyone

What a bargain for under £95. Like some other customers in the questions / reviews I never ran it as a Windows machine. Instead I booted and installed Ubuntu from a usb on startup to avoid Windows bloat. It runs very well. Only glitch, also mentioned elsewhere, is lack of sound output possibly fixable by downloading drivers etc, but my work around is to use a set of bluetooth headphones, which do the job just fine, so who cares?

Basic laptop. But what a bargain, does the basics really well, best thing I’ve had off Amazon in the last 10 years

Put this through its paces and was very nicely surprisedIt is a neat slim laptop with a solid state hard drive, so no noise or fan. Hard drive is only 64GB with the Windows 10 Pro (Education version) software already taking up about a third of that; a simple micro SD card can be placed into the dedicated slot to add a further memory up to an additional 64 GB. Two USB 3 ports but, annoyingly, one is right beside the power plug. No CD/DVD drive but USB versions of these drives are cheap enough. No ethernet port, so internet connection has to be WiFiWhen initially setting up, maybe do not connect to the internet – when prompted, look for “I don’t have internet’ in a small text link, bottom left – this removes all requirements to register or enter any sort of detailsImportant to follow the small instruction leaflet to avoid issues. The laptop needs to be on charge (not charged, simply plugged in) before it is first switched on, no need after its first complete charge. The charging port is on the LEFT side, there is an identical headphone port on the right. Be certain that you do not get these confused or it will appear that the battery dies or does not charge from flatSwitching on is a five second firm push and release, then wait maybe another 5 seconds … otherwise it appears dead. Once on, the first port of call must be the power settings; the default settings switches the laptop off after just a few minutes of inactivity .. making it appear defectiveThere are some issues with Windows 10 Pro Education as a software bundle but that can’t be blamed on the laptop. Going through the apps list and uninstalling the stuff you do not need really does help. Similarly a visit to the task manager > start up and disabling everything in there (except security) will have this romping alongA very good idea to make a system repair disc (control panel | back up and restore) and a system image once you have finished tweaking it to your liking – between those two you can set it back to how you had it. Repair discs etc that are NOT from Window Pro Education 64 bit will NOT work. Windows 10 reset (settings | update) works to reset it to a factory state but it does take a long time on this laptop during which it appears to be thinking, just leave it (plugged in, with power settings not to turn off) and let it do its thing maybe for several hoursNot for gaming or anything too resource heavy or large installation but good enough for bashing out Emails, writing essays, listening to music and watching reruns of the Muppet Show on YouTubeAll in all, for £99 it is pretty darned good

I didn’t even allow Windows 10 to install. Just inserted a USB installation stick for Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon in the right hand USB port, booted up while pressing the DEL key and it went into BIOS. Selected the Linux stick and voila, booted straight up into Linux. Installation was straightforward and without issue and everything seems to be working great with the minor exception of the SD card reader, but no great loss. Overall I’m chuffed with my purchase.
