What a gorgeous kettle! But apart from looking beautiful….. it seems to do its job pretty well too. It’s lightweight, boils very quickly and has the most perfect pouring spout of any kettle I have ever owned. I was a bit reluctant to buy a kettle that has the gauge under the handle, but it is easy enough to see with the numbers in black and is just a matter of getting used to I think. The other thing I will have to get used to is not being able to see when the water boils, having had glass kettles for several years. It does have an auto shut-off, but I find kettles usually boil for ages before shutting off and I have always shut them off manually. Using less water it is quite easy to hear when it is boiling, and also it shakes about a bit once boiling! The lid isn’t hard to get off, but it does splash water everywhere if you just yank it as I did the first time. We live and learn! I think though that I will fill it from the spout in future, especially as I only fill it to just above the minimum level nowadays. As some people have commented on the funny taste, I did boil it once with white vinegar and water, and then with water only, prior to using it for the first time and there seemed nothing wrong after that. It’s an absolutely lovely kettle, and with a two-year guarantee I think you can’t really go wrong.UPDATE: I’ve had this kettle for just over four months and now the black paint is starting to chip off. I have no idea why this is happening as the kettle is only moved from its base to my mug right next to it and is filled with a jug, not at the tap, so absolutely nothing is knocking against it. This is extremely disappointing as it is very noticeable (being black) and looks horrible.

It looks good not cheap tack.Very light and easy to handle.I have arthritic wrists but is ok for me.Is fast flowing.I wish they would have put a light in water level as its hard to see. Or a light colour so u can see it.The base is light but it is safe i tried it several ways as I have small grand kids but it not topple over its good. Lol.I’m very happy with it and it looks smart not cheap or tacky.And surprisingly fast and quiet.I’m very happy with this buy.I down mark it only because of water lvl gauge

Don’t know why it asks for flavour!! I’m boiling water! Has a great rapid boil, it looks stunning in how the colours work in the kitchen. I’ve not cleaned it coz it’s new but am sure it polishes up well. My great buy coz it’s got a bit of pazaz rather than a boring plain coloured kettle. Thankyou
