About this item 2000W 1.7L CORDLESS KETTLE: With a 1.7 litre (approx. 3 pints) capacity jug, this 2000W cordless kettle is big enough to fill seven cups, which makes it the ideal choice for a family home. The minimum volume is just 2 cups, so it’s perfect for that much needed morning coffee as well as for when the whole family visit. Combine this Kitchen Perfected kettle with a matching toaster or kitchen appliance from the collection for colour coordinating style. STYLISH DESIGN: The simple, sleek design makes this kettle a stylish accessory for any kitchen worktop and with a cord tidy built-in to the base, there’s no untidy wires. The kettle is made from quality, durable plastic with a heat resistant handle and the hinged lid opens wide making it easy to refill and accessible to clean. The power cord attaches to a separate power base so you’re not restricted by the length of the cord when filling and pouring the kettle. REMOVABLE, WASHABLE FILTER: The filter prevents limescale and bits from getting in to the cup when pouring. It sits inside the easy pour spout and simply slides out, ready to be rinsed under warm water and slid back in to place. DUAL WATER LEVEL WINDOWS WITH CUP GAUGE: Check water levels without lifting the lid with the water level windows on each side of the kettle – ideal if you’re right or left handed. Clearly marked on the windows are cup gauges, these show you the ideal water level needed to fill 2, 3, 5 and 7 cups. To save energy and speed up boiling, make sure to use the cup gauges to measure exactly the number of cups required before boiling. AUTOMATIC SAFETY SHUT-OFF AND LED ON / OFF LIGHT: The red on / off power switch has an indicator light which illuminates when the kettle is boiling, so at a glance you can see if the kettle has finished heating. Once at temperature, the kettle will automatically turn off and with boil-dry protection the kettle will shut-off if it does not contain enough water.

    Before purchasing this one I researched many kettles and realised that I just couldn’t find one that matched my old Philips eco kettle. Sadly and for some inexplicable reason Philips stopped manufacturing one of their best ever kettles!So I had my work cut to find a good replacement.Research certainly pays off…This slightly smaller than average kettle (1.5 litre as apposed to 1.7 litre) is amazing for the price. It boils 2 cups of water (as indicated on the side) in 65 seconds, and a full kettle in just 3 minutes and 15 seconds! Yes and sadly I did literally stand there with a timer. It was also much quieter than that of my initial attempted replacement model (Murphy Richards equip kettle), extremely noisy!I was a little concerned when I removed it from its box, it felt very light and looked very cheap. That said, I was extremely and pleasantly surprised with its performance. Very impressed with it and I would 100% recommend purchasing this.
