I was looking for a machine that would take original Nespresso pods, because they are more reasonably priced than most. I had bypassed this machine a number of times because I thought it was too much with the double nozzle – then spotted it on offer one night and bought one as a gift and one for myself – it is awesome!!Smart looking (love the red), a decent sized reservoir, the simplest operation and love the fact I can pre-set my preferred dose of each size coffee.The tasting selection is great, I went on to order 150 varying L’or original pods which have all been extremely good. But i’ve also used Nespresso, Starbucks, various compatible aluminium pods and the plastic versions too and so far out of probably 300 assorted pods I have only had one fail.It has a slower pour than some machines, but the plus side of that is a very hot cup of coffee – I find Tassimo and Dulce Gusto machines made fairly tepid drinks in comparison, where the L’or Barista is perfect.I have read a few reviews suggesting it is noisy – it’s a coffee machine…it’s going to make a noise! Just like a kettle isn’t silent!So all in all this machine is so, so good for the money – on offer it’s a bargain!

Found the taste of these pods really good for my palate. The machine was easy to set up. A little bigger than some pod machines but looks lovely. Sits in a small space and now the pods can be recycled separately just perfect. Great value, well worth buying. Noise for me was not an issue as I have a bean to coffee machine and it is a little noisy when grinding as one would expect. You have to be careful when emptying the water tank though as it is not so big and a little, let’s say, flimsy. Overall a great buy.

There are so many coffee machines out there, too many to chose from, but picked this one and I’m extremely happy with it. It’s very easy to use and you have 2 sizes of pods to chose from.Value for money and very quiet too.

Not much to say to a great coffee maker. I am a Nespresso lover so I was a bit reticent to get something new. I must admit it was a great spring deal and beautiful colour so I thought I would give it a go. It works just as good as Nespresso. Capsules can fit both in both machines too. Slightly more silent than the other one and nice and big water tank. It also brings a selection of few coffees for one to try, and 3 diff lenghts of coffee. You can also fit 2 diff sizes of L’or capsules. And of course it tastes delicious. Love it!

This nespresso type is cheaper than most machines and I was a little concerned. Having tried it, it makes good coffee, looks good and is comparable to the Nespresso recommended machines. I think that the lever mechanism may be vulnerable to stress and it could be a weak point at some stage in the future but after a few weeks use, it is doing well. I would definately buy this again.

I have had a Tassimo machine for years but started to feel aggrieved by the price of the casuals linked with that machine so after lots of research went with this L’Or machine. It’s a great little machine, and the bonus has to be the that it uses the old nespresso style capsules that most supermarkets sell really cheap. As a bonus you get a fee pack of L’Or coffees to try and that really helped me to find one I liked.I didn’t fet this with a milk frother but ended up buying a seperate one to make a barista style latte. With such a wind range of coffees at such a cheap price thus machine is well worth the investment and I am so happy with my choice.

Wanted a pod machine for convenience of coffee without having to brew a large jug when it’s only for me. This is brilliant. Still working through the starter box to find which coffee I like best, and likely I’ll end up buying bundles of various coffees from the website. You get a good discount when registering the product and if ordering from their website they also send recycling bags for the pods – great for the environment. Can drop them at any Collect+ store.Easy to set up and load the pods. Easy to clean. And so far all the coffee is smooth and full of flavour. Not bitter like some of the filter coffee I have tasted.You get good size servings from 25ml to 220ml depending on the pod. And you can also long hold the button to have the coffee pour until you manually stop it.

Bought this to replace a Tassimo machine – we felt that the tassimo capsules were very limited in choice and expensive compared to the Nespresso ones.I bought this a while ago, but thought I should come back and do a review now that it’s been in use for a while. I picked this one because I wanted the choice of using the XL capsules too, if required.It does what it says on the tin – it’s a basic enough machine with nothing much to confuse users – there are three buttons, Ristretto, Expresso and Lungo. if you want more water, you can press the button again, and again to stop.The water reservoir is a decent size, and I find myself filling it less frequently than the previous machine.Overall, I can’t find any cons – I chose the one without the milk frother as it didn’t seem to be value for money. I bought a separate frother instead (this one – https://amzn.eu/d/0ck590lI).I’m enjoying the variety that the Nespresso capsules provide and won’t ever go back to Tassimo!

Excellent quality nice looking machine. Very flexible as you can use the 3 pre-set buttons for how long you want your drink but you can stop midway by pressing the button again or you can press again if you want more water. As for noise, I have had 2 Tassimo and 2 dolce gusto machines and this is the most quiet machine by far.

This makes brilliant coffee I Have had it about a month now and bought the L’or descaler ready bit expensive at 2 uses for nearly £23. Haven’t had to descale. It yet. Don’t let the water holder get too low as could cause an airlock from what I’ve heard and that can cause the machine to not work. Takes pods for nespresso machine and similar looking pods, Amazon do chocolate pods that are coming next week and my favourite coffee at the moment is a caramel one. You can get decaff coffee pods as well!! They also do different tea pods as well, not tried them yet though, I’ll need another cupboard at this rate of buying pods. All in all a FANTASTIC coffee pod maker i have the sublime smaller one the 0.8l one in red. Looks good on the worktop.
