I wanted a cheap and cheerful microwave, uncluttered controls, not one which was over-engineered and complicated to understand. I chose this model because it had slightly smaller dimensions than the one it was replacing. You probably should consider the size carefully and make sure the cooking compartment is large enough for your needs. The diameter of the glass plate is approx 9.5 inches (24 cms) and the height clearance is approx 5 inches (13cm), so it will be suitable for the typical microwave ready meal but might not big enough for defrosting a chicken, for example.As other reviewers have said, it was quick to arrive, and yes, the delivery man left it on the doorstep. It weighs 5kg, so yes, elderly people, for example, might struggle to lift it.I also had to smile at the earlier reviewer who said it doesn’t stand flat on a flat surface, and thought they must have it sitting on the cable or something, so imagine my surprise when I sat mine on a flat surface and yes, it wobbles. I turned it over and checked for adjustable feet, or for something I needed to remove, but no, it wobbles, and it is really annoying. The corner nearest the door hinge does not sit flat on the surface so every time you open or close the door, it wobbles. It is like it is missing the rubber footpad from the front footing. A square of thick cardboard wedged under the front left corner is a low-tech way to fix the problem, and fortunately it comes in a thick cardboard box, or you could use a rubber washer or two, but still it is either a poor design oversight, or someone skimped on adding a rubber footing just to save a penny or two in manufacture.
