Wonderful piece of kit , almost use it on a daily bases , very good searing pan as well . Very effient , practically runs on zero on Smart meter so used alot when electricity was expensive . Cooks really well , brilliant for bulk cooking as large .

  2. Amazon Customer

After having bought a cheaper slow cooker awhile ago I thought slow cookers were not for me. However, I did purchase this one to find, to my delight, that it cooks very well.

  3. Ade1

This is the best one we’ve ever had so light easy to clean cooks food brilliant the best quality yet love superb

  4. Bee

Love this slow cooker. Nice size, easy to store, great value, would recommend.

I’ve owned slow cookers since I was in my teens, my first being a Tower which could safely be left on all day and produced lovely food.Since then I found many brands cooked at too high a temperature, boiling the contents and defeating the purpose of slow cooking. This model has no timer, only low, medium, high settings. On low it barely bubbles and to me offers the perfect solution for leaving a stew or curry on for a whole day while you’re out at work.I love the size, which caters for one to six servings comfortably and copes perfectly with few or many ingredients.I never come home to stew akin to a plate of soup though I acknowledge that it takes practise to judge how much liquid you need to add to achieve best results.Personally I’d never use a slow cooker for making soup which I can make manually in 40 minutes so I can’t comment on that, nor would I choose to use it for solely vegetable cookery for the same reason. I use mine for meats, beans and pulses that benefit from long slow cooking.I don’t find this model takes up too much room so it’s a permanent resident on the worktop. I like the oval bowl and that bowl is metal and very light. It’s very easy to clean. Bought for cooking while I’m out I always use the low setting because it’s gentle and doesn’t cause liquid to evaporate fast.I’ve used it for lamb curries, chicken casseroles, beef ragout, chilli, pork shoulder, chickpea and sweet potato stew, sausage casserole, stovies, and white puddings with onions and potatoes. All have worked really well.I’ve never experienced lack of flavour like some other reviewers. I have with a pressure cooker but never with a slow cooker. I find my slow cooker recipes more flavourful than stovetop cooking (provided you’ve seasoned well enough at outset) and I minimise the liquid added which avoids arriving home to a mush.Good luck with this model if you decide to try it. I use this at least three times a week. It’s a thumbs up from me.

With the present economy and energy bills, we thought it would be good to start using a smaller slow cooker than what we have. We particularly liked this one, as you can put it in the cooker (gas) to brown or even cook your meats thoroughly when you forget to start it earlier. Then leave them cooking with the sauce for the rest of the afternoon and come home to a delicious, soft meat full of flavours and juices. We are a family of 3 and this would easily cook for a family of 4 or even 5.

  7. Charlotte

I wanted to try a slow cooker for many reasons. No rush with dinner, save money (oven not on for many hours) and for flavour. I am not disappointed at all. In fact I try to cook a slow cooker dinner every week. It works brilliantly. Easy to use, does not take up much space and so easy to clean. It is a joy to come home from work and dinner is (almost) ready. Would highly recommend this.

For those of you who haven’t succumbed to the enjoys of a slow cooker, I should let you know that it is both economical and easy to use. Way before we had the pressures on saving energy as a new nation, we have been trying to be greener with our energy consumption. As this uses small amounts of energy to cook slowly during the day, you can set it cooking when you go out and return home to a fully cooked meal. This slow cooker has advantages over older models in that the main pot is a nonstick steel pan rather than the ceramic models. This makes it easier to clean, and far easier to bring to the table. It also heats up faster. Its function is simple but I should say that the dial doesn’t put the settings in an intuitive order. After you’ve got used to it though, it’s childsplay. You can cook a whole chicken in the pot, although I should warn you that it will be incredibly soft and falling off the bone. If you want a firm chicken with crispy skin you need a different kind of cooker. If you want to have great warming stews and soups, Or even curries, this is ideal. In the coming cold winter of 2022, this will be a godsend. Cannot recommend more highly

  9. Morsy

Really pleased with this slow cooker, works well and looks good.

  10. J FORSTER

Perfect slow cooker for everyday cooking. I have many slow cookers of varying sizes that are packed away in the garage and come out when I have family gatherings (19 members and upwards). I decided to order a 3.5ltr sear and stew slow cooker to stay on my kitchen bench in the hope it would be used more often and, in the process, save money. It does and, it does! Love the look of this cooker in the kitchen and it is used at least 4/5 times per week for myself and my husband. If it had a timer like others I have it would be useful but certainly doesn’t take away from the reason I purchased it. Very happy with this and the fact I ordered and the product was delivered the same day was just an extra bonus.
