The Reolink NVR recorder with 4 cameras offers a robust home security solution. The system provides clear 1080p HD video quality, ensuring detailed surveillance. The NVR’s easy setup simplifies installation, and the included 4 cameras cover a wide area for comprehensive monitoring. With motion detection and remote viewing capabilities via a dedicated app, it enhances overall security. However, occasional connectivity issues and limited advanced features may be drawbacks for those seeking more customization options. Overall, it’s a reliable choice for basic home surveillance needs.

Bought this system to replace one which was failing(not this brand). I watched a few YouTubers who went over all the different features as well as reviews on Amazon itself and decided to go for it.Almost half a year into having this system and I have never had an issue with it so far. I am very impressed with the quality of the cameras and my favourite feature is the motion detection. This system has such a great motion detection you can even filter it to just show you motion detection of people/cars/other motion and it gives you a simple to use list of all the motion for that day.The quality during the day is amazing and at night it is just as good as the day even with just the infrared LED’s.The user interface is very friendly and easy to navigate. I think this is a very good system at an affordable budget. The hardest part about this whole system is the cabling. Having an existing system I just replaced the cables with the new ones.

Bought to replace ageing and faulty 4 camera system (not Reolink) I bought the 4cam system, doorcam and 2 extra cameras as prices were reduced. The plan was to phase in all 6 cams and doorbell. As doorbell arrived first it was decided to set this up first. The only problem with it was that the transformer lead with extension was too long and without too short. Not Reolink fault! Advice: if you want to use storage in doorcam do not silicon seal before. My bad. However, it is backup as main NVR can do this too of course.Doorcam excellent for us as we see all front garden, road, cars and visitors. Also freed a camera as a result. The main challenge is camera locations and leads. In our case only one is to be attached to house so the setup required no additional cables. The plan is to bury the other 5. Currently debating Cat 6plus or better at reasonable price but decent. There are a lot of dodgy spec cables out there. Also, crimping is a skill not yet mastered. The DVR setup for using one camera and doorcam for now is very easy. Replicated on 2 phones. The only problem for me is setting up email. The setup instruction book gets you going but points to onscreen instructions and email notices confuse me. However, there are plenty of vids online. Vert happy so far esp. about Reolink DVR ability to mix wireless and POE cams smoothly. We did explore wireless cams all round but did not wish to get into relays since 4 cams will be 35-40m from house. In all a wonderful piece of kit, easy start. Longevity who knows but commonsense suggests extra doses of silicon sealant with good cabling and locations will help. We opted to site DVR by main telly for convenience so sacrificed DVD player for space but it is comfortably petit. Hope above helps someone.

For the price this product is really good – I’ve only installed 2 cameras so far but the picture quality is great – even at night – some other reviews suggested it was hard to setup the app but we’ve done it without any problems – I’ve ordered two additional cameras to cover the whole house – would definitely recommend

Firstly, I got PoE to speed up the video storage. WiFi is prone to glitches as we all know. I installed the NVR unit in the garage, this enabled me to easily run the cables for the cameras with less damage to internal walls. So cameras installed all ok. To get from the NVR to my internal router, I didn’t want to drill holes. So used TP-Link IP over mains units. This worked a treat. So when using my mobile in the house, on the WiFi, access was swift and blooming marvellous. The issue I had, was when I left the house, and was on 5G or 4G mobile networks, I couldn’t connect. Contacted Reolink, who were very helpful, and said I should enable, in Networks (on the NVR GUI) , Advanced, “Enable UID” Did this and Boom, can now connect remotely whilst away from home. Also had to get a gmail account to push the event emails to my mac.com address. Very pleased with the whole system. I was contemplating changing the HDD to an SSD, but the speed this thing runs at means I don’t have to worry. Cannot recommend highly enough, Kit is top notch, and customer services fabulous.

I’ve installed a number of the Reolink systems and, with each firmware and hardware upgrade, they really do get better and better. The four-camera/NVR package came with four 18M network cables, which should be adequate for the vast majority of installs. Set-up at the NVR literally took 10 mins, with all installed cameras auto-added to the NVR in seconds; an excellent wizard takes you through the intial install and you’re good to go. Connectivity for the NVR and the phone/PC/iPad/Mac app to the Cloud is totally transparent to the users and automatic – nothing to set/configure. Fine-tuning the remaining features is, actually, optional as the defaults are a great starting point, but you can set the likes of alerts via email, push-notifications, etc. All in all, a superb package and one that has proved very reliable in the past; I have another install with the same cameras, all externally-mounted for the past two years and still as good as the day they were installed. An easy five stars!

Easy install good app, you will need a monitor to do the inital setup for remote veiwing, but all good there after- comes with 4 x eithernet cable (think they are around 10m), moved on from blink as the batteries where costing a fortune on busy cameras. Also set the quality to “clear” as that mean Hi Quality. I don’t use the notifications or triggers so can’t coment on that.
