10 reviews for Russell Hobbs Slow Cooker 23200, 3.5 L – Stainless Steel Silver

  1. Helen

    Down sizing, had my last Russell Hobbs slow cooker for nearly 20 years. Only need the smaller one now but still big enough for 4 good portions

  2. Graz

    Best thing ever. I don’t know why I waited so long to purchase one. Does what it says on the box. Bought another one for my mum she is pleased with it also

  3. Mel

    A+++++

  4. Mr Roy Atrill

    Like very much.

  5. JoshHoughton

    This was my first slow cooker and the instructions to set up were super easy. I recommend giving it a wash first and then leaving it on high for an hour or so with some water in to get rid of the plastic-y smell. I’ve now used it several times for various things from chilli to a gammon joint, to chocolate fudge, and I’ve had perfect results every time. Cleaning is easy, and it cools down very quick too. Highly recommend and a bargain for the price.

  6. A. D. Hain

    This is a really nice size bowl – perfect for 2 or 3 people. Pop your meat in with some stock and leave it on low for a few hours. Beautiful, tender, and tasty meat.The cooker is very easy to use with a single knob. The instruction book contains a few recipes to get you going, or if you want to try something more adventurous than a stew.I’m really pleased with mine.

  7. snailandgingerbeer

    I am living out of this now – chuck in a few pieces of chicken and a jar of curry sauce and come home to a hot meal and a house smelling of spices! The meat is infused in a way that a 20 minute bubble on top of the stove cannot achieve. The local takeaway is poorer as a result of this purchase. Dishwasher safe so no clear up!

  8. kreemkrackered

    People have beeb telling me for years to buy one and after reading a few reviews, I pulled the trigger on this one. Made my first hot-pot the other day – just dumped all the ingredients in, stuck it on no 1 setting and 7 hrs later a very tasty result. Even meat on the bone just falls away. So easy to use and cleaning is really easy too as the inner bowl comes out. If you haven’t got one – definitely recommend you pick one up.

  9. Animalspirit

    Firstly, I am vegetarian so I do not cook meat in my slow cooker. I do however, cook a lot of vegetable stew type dishes in my cooker. Chickpea Tagine; various vegetarian curries; vegetarian chilli; vegetable stews etc. and they have all turned out really well.I have cooked both by frying the vegetables first and by putting them straight in the cooker; I have also used frozen vegetables that cook easily (peppers). All have turned out perfectly.I do not use setting 1 for cooking generally. I heat on setting 2 for 20 minutes as per the instructions. Whilst I am doing this I heat anything I think will benefit from not being put in the cooker raw; I also heat the stock. I then add everything to the cooker and leave on setting 2 to cook. I usually put the cooker on at about 11 o’clock and we tend to eat about 6 in the evening, if the meal is cooked before then I either turn the cooker down to 1 (if there is still quite a lot of stock left) or turn the cooker to warm.I use my slow cooker about 3 times a week and love the fact I can just leave it to cook without having to keep checking on it.Cleaning is simple. Once emptied and whilst still hot I add hot water to the inner bowl and leave it to soak for half hour. Then a quick wipe round and into the dishwasher to clean.
