First time I have bought a Sharp model for anything electric gand very pleased. Even though its one of the cheapest it has some handy features. The defrost settings actually work, there is a one press button that turns it on for one minute and the heating dinner plates button saves me using the oven to warm up the plates. Ignore the complaint about the amount of water generated Its because its more efficient Highly recommended

We needed a new microwave after the previous one started making concerning noises. This one is average, quite simple but does the job. The user interface is easy to navigate, it took a little fiddling to set the clock but once done it was working well. I find cleaning this microwave not as easy as I hoped, especially the top part is hard to thoroughly clean which I think is due to the texture of the material used, it seems porous so any food splash or stain is firmly stuck there. The button to open the door is a little too loud for my linking and occasionally gets locked but the microwave is sufficiently functional for our needs

I bought this product for my elderly mother who was looking for a “solo” microwave that simply heated food & liquids without the fuss of pushing several buttons i.e. something that wasn’t designed by NASA!! This product fits the bill.The door is opened via a mechanical push button at the base of the controls – this is easier than pulling a handle, since pushing the button requires less effort. To close, just push the door shut.The microwave has a “Start/Auto Minute” button, which when pressed once starts the microwave at the power level set for 1 minute. Each time this button is pressed, another minute is added onto the heating time – simple!!To vary the power level, simply press the “Power Level” button once and this will show “100P” i.e. 100%, which for this model is 800W. Each time further this button is pressed, the power level drops by 20% i.e. 80P, 60P, etc. Continue to press this button will eventually take it back to 100P.To set the heating time other than in 1 minute increments, press the “Power Level” button once and then the “10min”, “1min” and/or “10sec” buttons until the correct duration is set.The microwave is small and ideal for compact kitchens. The microwave opening is however large enough to fit a standard dinner plate.

So far this has worked great, I have not had any issues with anything coming out uncooked. The turn table is big enough to fit individual microwave meals and it is very simple to use.The only minor niggle I have is that it is only possible to set the time in Mins or 10’s of seconds (so, if the instructions to cook something ask for it to be 1min and 25seconds you wont be able to do it, you could do 1min 20seconds OR 1min 30 seconds) Ultimately this isnt a majhor issue as 5 seconds here or there on most things is not an issue but it is a little frustrating for reheating a hot drink as it may only need 25seconds to get it to the right heat and in that instance I have to set it to 30seconds and then end it early, so not a major hassle but definitely a minor niggle.

We’ve had a few microwaves over the years of various brands but this one has impressed straight away by being very efficient, our old one was the same power rating but never as good as this.Didn’t particularly want one with preset menus and took a week of referring to the instructions to get used too but worth it as the results are better, especially the defrost.
