I had a cheaper version of this a few years ago and it wasn’t much good, but we read the reviews and opted for this one because our Henry hoover is quite heavy and a pain to drag around the house. This upright is every bit as good as a wired vacuum. The suction is powerful (make sure you have it on the powerful setting) and the rotating brushes work well. The brushes on both the main head and the small “pet head” are very well designed, meaning you can take the entire brush out to clean it and detanlge any hair that accumilates. The battery is 4Ah which is sufficient; though it doesn’t last quite as long as the claim when you are using it on carpets. It is still ok though, and the battery comes out of the main unit easily so is easy to put on charge. The vaccum is very light and easy to use. Plus the attatchments are easy to clip on and off.The collector bin is quite small but this is also easy to take off and empty which you’ll need to do every time you hoover the whole house. We haven’t experienced any blockages yet, and I have accidentally sucked up quite a few large bits of wood, scrap carpet etc when fitting some flooring. For the price I am pleased – it’s true what they say, you get what you pay for. I had a 70 quid electrolux before this and it was rubbish, but this seems like money well spent. You can also mount it on a wall with the bracket provided, which is a good space saver.

I bought this to replace a Beko 165W – that one worked well at first but it loses power quickly, as the filter clogs. The Vax on the other hand has amazing power, it just keeps on and on. It’s easy to use and recharge. One minor quibble is that it’s not very easy to disconnect the motor unit from the main tube. But it’s not a deal breaker.

This is my 3rd Vax and cheaper than the first two.No1/2 are still usable, but soon developed the same fault.1:The little flexi see-through hose on the head is weak, leaks and and cracks v quickly.A replacement, though cheap, was too difficult to fit by me.Access impossible.2:The Brushbar and led lights stopped working at around 2 yrs.It seems there is a breakage in electrical connection within the machine. The bar spins by hand so not clogged.Again imposs to remedy by me.It will be interesting to see how No 3 fairs. It seems exactly the same build but now cheaper and came with a different +less robust charger from Amazon.Having said above the Vax is versatile, suction is super, and it’s easy to maintain and charge. The head is annoyingly hard to remove from the stick though for hand-held tasks.I like the lights and the reason I didn’t buy a Dyson this time was it has a trigger that has to be constantly held apparently. No good for arthritic hands.I haven’t much faith in the Vax 3yr Guarantee as so much is not covered and contacting Vax is not easy. Why?I suspect there may be a new Vax stick on the horizon to compete with other makes, hence the reduced price to date. For all Blade 4’s faults I would recommend it because it is so powerful.

Like in the title, this is my honest opinion: ive paid it in instalments, and just today ive finished the entire balance. And i was thinking to leave a Thanks here, as ive been using the Blade4, to clean the house after my American Akita. So first , Thank you Amazon for accepting my low credit score, and yet accepted this payment over time. The Blade4 , got an out of hell motor ,plus the rotative brush with own motor too, make this hoover a best choice for someone with dog or any pet thats causing too much hair loss. Plus im also using it for my car seats . Im using it everyday. I got only 2 battery, and they are still not enought for me. As i use 2 battery for the entire house, and when i activate myself and i wanna keep going, and clean the car too , i got nothing left. I must say that i also got an VAX carpet cleaner, that is garbage. I say that, because of the way it was builded. The electric motor is way too powerful for the design of the carpet cleaner, where the belt is located. The belt is not alligned and cuz of this, is getting ripped after 2min of use. So when ive seen Blade4 , as an VAX product, i was thinking if to give it a try or not. I was actually wanted to buy the Blade5, but got no option for monthly payments.. and only Blade4 got the 5months plan.. of 47.80/month.. and now i see that they have an limited time discount of 40%?? Of course is getting me crazy, but the Blade4 worth all the money ive spend on it.. Buy it with confidence, and trust me, you will see the difference compared with ur old hoover..The picture is just to show you guys how much hair my dog leaves on the carpet, if not brushed proper.. And Yes , Blade 4 can handle it to clean it all, without any problem. This was my Honest Opinion.P. Raul N.

I wondered if this would be a bit weak because it’s battery powered but I am glad to be wrong. It is far more powerful than our old wired vacuum and the battery lasts long enough to do the whole house. The motorised brush head does an incredible job on carpet and de-hairing it is made easier by there being grooves on the brush head along which to run scissors. The dust chamber and filter setup is really straightforward to take apart and put back together again which makes it easy to empty and clean. Really happy with it, such a huge increase in convenience over the heavy lump of a wired vacuum we had before. Used to hate vacuuming and see it as a big job but now with us getting this, it’s become more of a little and often type thing.

I got a puppy last October. Not the heaviest of shedders but constantly leaving little short thick black Dalmation/Labrador hairs behind. My handheld Dyson last year quit after a week, it was old and tired anyway. Bought a LuBluLu, which amused the hairs rather than hoover them up. After the puppy had enough of that one and decided to eat the brush bit last week, I decided to invest a little more and got this Vax Blade 4 Pet vac.It works. The first vac where I actually can use it in normal mode as the +mode is too powerful when using the brush. On full with the brush the carpet is stuck to the brushhead. And the best thing is, it removes the stubborn hair from the Sofa, carpet, stairs, bed and chairs.Goodby good old manual lint roller. Hello Vax Pet Tool. I finally can remove the dog hair before chucking the duvet cover in the washing machine. Not sure how it will fair with longer GSD or Husky hair but for my puppy this is the tool! And it is quieter than the Dyson or the LuBluLu. Result!!

Bought another brand it picked up virtually nothing despite reviews saying it had excellent suction and was designed specifically for pet hair (I have 2 jet black long hair cats).Returned it.Debated buying another one, once bitten, but my 8 year old Vax pet upright is wonderful so I decided to risk it, I was very concerned about having to return another one!I needn’t have worried, I did a quick test with the small pet brush and one of the half charged (as shipped) batteries, it seemed okay.Charged the batteries up and switched over to the normal brush, I went over the bedroom, landing, stairs, front room and kitchen. Emptied the vac 3 or 4 times, had to clean the brush as it was covered in thick black hair once. The results?Wonderful, lovely clean carpets, battery still showing all the bars! I am very impressed. Nice and quiet, works very well and so far battery usage seems great. The only negative, if you buy direct you get an extra pack of tools, not sure I need them, amazon is a bit cheaper, but the main reason I bought it here is that amazon are fantastic when things go wrong.Well worth the money, very pleased.

The photo shows a, “Dust gatherer” mat. We have three moulting dogs. With just one pass of the pet attachment it cleaned half the mat! We left the other half to show what a challenge it had. We have never had a vacuum that could do that! If it lasts, brilliant but we registered it with Vax and got three years of warranty! Unfortunately we read many reviews of electrical items failing early, especially vacuum cleaners! We rate this as excellent! “Trust me I’m a doctor”!

As a long time pet owner and Vax user I have stayed with corded vacuums despite their drawbacks. The Blade4 has me completely converted to cordless and VAX have shown their superiority in the pet care field once again. my only wish would be for the next model to have variable power control.

All my cleaners have been Vax, I have an old carpet washer and upright Cleaner and both are still going, what I like about the brand is that they’re affordable and serviceable, this one is no exception, it’s lite, easy to assemble, manover, suction is also very good and most of all it’s portable. It’s also very easy to empty even though the container isn’t all that big, the filter can be removed and cleaned or even replaced like most other Vax, it comes with two other adon’s, crevice and dust brush tools, has good stability, Charging also doesn’t take that long so it’s ideal for your car..it also comes with a wall or door mounting kit..So if you’re after a good portable vacuum cleaner that’s affordable with good suction, I would certainly recommend this one.
