What is professional monitoring?

Professional monitoring is when your property is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round. If there is an intruder, monitoring offers guard dispatch as well as police dispatch depending on which monitoring plan you choose.


What happens when my alarm goes off if I don’t have monitoring?

Without monitoring, your system will act as a traditional, standalone alarm system. You will be notified by the siren sounding on your Base Station.


Do i need a Pro Premium Monitoring to use the App?

You can still view live camera feeds without Pro Premium Monitoring, however all other features would require the subscription.


Do i need Wifi to use the system?

2.4 GHz WiFi is needed to connect cameras to the base station, and to install the latest security updates. The alarm is connected the our monitoring station via WiFi and cellular backup, so if your WiFi fails, your home would still be secure.


Why should i choose SimpliSafe over another security provider?
