Bought this after getting into espressos and coffee art as I was fed up cleaning my espresso maker that sits on the hob and wanted a daily machine that would be quicker to use and of course make better quality coffees. And this has fit the job role perfectly! The machine looks really nice on the countertop, I’m a fan of the 50s look, and I much prefer the design over the coffee pod machine that looks like a duck. The water tank has really surprised me as I expected to be refilling this at least daily as I have 1-2 coffees per day however the tank when filled to the max can last me 3-4 days however by then I would have needed to change the water for freshwater anyway. The buttons are very easy to use since the machine literally lights up when it’s ready to make coffee or use the milk frother. After a couple of days, I got into a routine and can make coffee quick before my lunch break ends. For the milk frother, I’ve been using a 350ml metal milk jug which fits nicely underneath the frother nozzle but you wouldn’t be able to go much bigger. The quality of the coffee is supremely better than the coffee maker I was previously using and it feels like a massive step up, I’ve been pairing this with Starbucks espresso roast and was worked out very well. However, i have tried a really cheap coffee in this and it didn’t compare but that’s all personal preference. My only complaints are the ability to clean some of the parts after using it is a little difficult as coffee grounds can get stuck in the nozzle area but its nothing a wet cloth can’t solve, next is the height of the nozzle and frother is a little annoying since my espresso cup just literally fits underneath it with the metal grid so I have to make sure the liquid isn’t too high to get it out but it’s not a deal breaker.Overall for the price, I think this is a really good machine and good for value, I would recommend this to someone who is interested in coffee but not anyone if they want a one-click quick coffee.

Bought this as a replacement for a salter capsule and espresso machine that started leaking less than a year.6 weeks now with no trouble so far.Fairly easy Instructions and produces a nice expresso with frothy head.Same goes for the milk frother which gives creamy head.Only minus point is can’t use capsules

We purchased this to fit in with our theme of blue but to also have a convenient coffee machine also! Really enjoy its simplicity, takes a while to heat but once heated it’s perfect! Couldn’t fault it for price and quality!

After doing a lot of research of different machines I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on my first at home coffee machine. I ordered this one and was a little skeptical based on some other negative reviews.I’m really please, I’ve had this machine for a few months now. I followed the instructions precisely at first, and it’s simple and second nature to do the various steps/buttons now.I use the coffee maker every day and I love it. It does everything I need/want it to do and I definitely don’t see the point in spending more for anything other than aesthetics or very large families etc.I’ve encountered a few ‘problems’ that are also mentioned in other reviews and here is how I resolved them;Light colour coffee coming out : In the first few seconds the coffee is very dark then goes light quickly as it pours, I believe some of this is due to aeration as in the cup it still looks pretty dark. I also needed to adjust my expectation. This machine produces an espresso – not a full cup of coffee. I usually have a latte/flat white but if I have an americano style coffee I pour the espresso and top up using the kettle.Milk not hot enough – keep it going for longer 😀 it does take longer than I initially expected to get piping hot’Exploding’ – this has happened twice. Not an explosion, the filter porter has come loose and popped off with the pressure. It didn’t break my cup but could easily break a glass cup. The first time I was rushing and didn’t securely lock the portafilter well enough. The second time there must have been some old coffee grids etc where the portafilter locks in because it seemed to glide into place without effort and so when it got going inevitably slid back off. So, I’d say push it into place firmly and remove before switching to the steam function.Larger 2-cup filter not working. Only a drip came out of the larger 2-cup/extra shot filter at first. After some time I realised it’s because it needs more pressure to push through the extra grounds. The ‘ready’ green light may come on but if it’s not coming out effectively I just wait an extra 30 secs and it’s fine when I try again.Wand not long enough. I usually make one cup at a time. My standard size jug needs to be 2/3 filled to work with this length of wand so means making too much hot milk and being wasteful. So, using a cup or smaller jug is needed.

If your looking for a coffee machine with 1 button to press and minimal effort don’t buy this and then complain on the review it’s ‘faffy’ or whatever word you’d use! It’s an at home coffee machine with frother, not a Tassimo!Anywho, we love this little machine. It’s perfect for a novice like myself and my husband. We’ve had it since January, I didn’t want to leave a review until we’d given it a good run. I think 4 months is fair amount of time. We had a pod machine before this and although we liked it the coffee was always very ‘blah’.So, once you’ve had a good few runs with it and you have a routine down it takes no more than 5 mins to make a proper coffee and clean the machine before sitting down to drink your creation. Which in my opinion is well worth it when you’re getting a drink similar to one you’d pay a small fortune for. It’s not all about the machine, the coffee itself is everything. You put a cheap nasty coffee in your going to get a crappy coffee.. You don’t have to spend the earth to get good coffee, just do some research and read reviews. Discover what type of blends you like as well, it’s not 1 fits all, we all have different taste buds. The frother is so good, it gets the milk so hot and what technique is used determines the type of froth you get. Coffee is an art of its own, your either into it or your not! My husband is way more into it than me, I’m happy with a flat white, he loves to experiment with it all.It is honestly easy to use, it’s 3 buttons! You DO have to put some work into, I say work, it’s still very simple. It isn’t a pod machine with 1 button though so if you aren’t prepared to learn and work a little for your coffee just buy a pod machine!Only slight downfall of the whole machine, the frother wand is just a tad short. If it was another cm or so longer it would be perfect. We still manage to use a larger jug when making more than 1 coffee at a time but it can take some time and doesnt reach the bottom so can sometimes not create that perfect froth. Use a small jug and the froth is perfect everytime! All in all would 100% recommend this coffee machine for at home use, it’s well worth it’s money. In comparison to others it’s cheap, looks good and works brilliantly. We’ve raved about this to anyone who loves their coffee like we do ☺

Ideal machine for the home, works perfectly well without to much noise. Doesn’t take up much room at all.

For the price it is a little gem … saves me £30 + a week. No need to go to Costa anymore.

So…..bear with me here. I was completely hesitant on buying this as I have been through (almost all) reviews. Focusing heavily on the negative almost to the point I regretted pressing purchase and then wanted to cancel it AND wanted to send it back as soon as I received it but I’m kinda glad I didn’t. I’ve worked in a small café very briefly so I have some experience with working a coffee machine (not that all coffee machines are universal) but im sure they all do somewhat the same thing 😂. When I unboxed it I checked to see any signs of prior use (again past reviews dictated I do so 😬 ) and everything seemed clean and everything in its place, if it had been used it was sorted out well after! The detachable back was straightforward to use (even though I didn’t notice the little red plug thingy at the bottom of it causing it to leak a little 🤦🏻‍♀️, once I got that out everything was fine) the power on button is clearly marked and the lights indicate what’s needed to indicate and the temperature shows up nicely (I let it warm up whilst I read the instruction manual which is a first for me really as I’m normally a wing it and hope it doesn’t explode on me kind of person) The steamer I had a little play with and I would recommend watching a how to video which actually can be seen demonstrated on one of the reviews if you are not sure or confident. I found it to work very well so I’m impressed with that! (The photo is the coffee without milk). The coffee grounds I used is Lidl ground strong French coffee as a tester and using the equipment provided to impact the grounds into the double shot for my large(ish) coffee. The only coffee mug I could get inbetween the drip tray and the machine was my cliché central perk friends coffee mug so be prepared to buy either espresso cups or large wide mugs. The taste was enjoyable but I will be buying different coffee grounds to experiment with the taste and to see what works best. As for the noise the machine makes…..well yeah it’s noticeable (again you can get a demonstration of this in another reviewer’s video) I have autism so I am sensitive to sounds but again in dealing with a coffee machine before has made it easier and me less jumpy or scared to use it.In summary…..yes I would recommend it. Past negative reviews aside on day one of use I’d say I’m happy. But will update if there are any further issues 🤪

For an entry level machine it’s amazing. We’ve used it every morning since we bought it. It performs nicely and the filter is effective. The noise is to be expected but not too loud by any means. It’s compsct enough to fit in my wee kitchen. It’s sturdy even though it’s plastic and the taste you can get out of it depends on how you make it. I’m amateur and I’ve never made a bad coffee (only when I put too few beans. Ha ha)
